Gangster Films and the Hays Code
I personally don't think that "Angels With Dirty Faces" follows the Hays Code. There is a few killing scenes in it, including a couple of cops being killed as well. Also, in the movie, they made the main criminal seem like a role model to some of the kids you live in the streets and at times break the law. The main criminal also wins at some few situations throughout the movie which isn't part of the Hays Code.

singing in the rain
The movie Singin’ in the Rain is a multi-genre film that has Musical, Comedy, Drama, and Romance all into one film. I really enjoyed the choreograph of the main characters. It was perfectly synced with the other actors and the singing as well. I also liked how the dancing was able to tell a story or describe the scene without any script. It was also set up the way a normal movie wold. They have the protagonist and the antagonist, and all the other elements of a normal movie.

The Western
Female Characters in Hawks
All the female characters in this montage are somewhat mature young women, who have a good heart, and are very good looking. They are also unique from any other girl in each movie. Each girl has the same characteristic as the other. They are also the main girl in the movie that each guy wants to go for. They always play hard to get and they aren't the type who are easy and kind of slutty. The main character doesn't usually get with the girl until either half-way through the movie or almost at the end.

For/Against MPAA
I am both for and against the MPAA. Some of the god things about this organization is that they are able to categorize the movies that parents could use when they take their children. Also, many teens look at the rating to determine wether the movie is going to be good or bad. The bad things about this organization is that movies aren't able to be shown in Hollywood with the consent of the MPAA. I think the organization has way too much power over the movies and should only be limited on the ratings. All in all, I really can't say that i dislike or like the MPAA because I base my movies on that system. Like if a movie is rated G or PG, chances are that I am not going to watch it in theaters. However, if a movie is rated PG-13 or R, then depending the script of the movie, I more and likely going to watch it in theaters.
